‘The Trojan Horse’
‘The Trojan Horse,’ by LUSS
Unprotected,
That is what I have became,
Weak at the knees,
My shield penetrated by her soul,
I allowed her insecurities
to become mine.
Once my queen,
Now the throne sits empty,
Guarded heavily,
Defence mechanism overloaded
By the love that you
choked me with.
I wish I could of
seen right through
But these rose tinted glasses
wouldn’t let me.
Your love was translucent,
Where my love flowed through,
Yours diffused confusing me.
Why did I let you in?
My firewall destroyed,
You were the most beautiful
virus I have ever seen,
A Trojan horse,
You tricked me,
I didn’t know the damage you would cause.
I
couldn’t
help
but
let
you
in.
That is what I have became,
